The Dorcas Ministry is a group of ladies who hand-make quilts for those in need. They sew these blankets and quilts for people, young and old, living on the streets here in Ottawa and even send quilts around the world to orphanages and refugees. The women meet weekly and work for free for hours at a time. Historically, in the first century there was a woman named Dorcas who was known for “always doing good and helping the poor.”
Dorcas meets Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 12pm in Room 133.
