This ministry primarily provides emergency financial assistance and/or food for individuals and families in our congregation, as well as people in the community who may be referred to us by the Ottawa Food Bank. Throughout this past year there have been several occasions when emergency food supplies were needed. We also provided work boots for an individual needing the boots to find work, but not having the funds to buy the boots. In addition the Samaritan Ministry helps, where possible, to find new homes for used furniture and appliances that are offered to us from time to time. We sincerely thank those who donate such items and those who help move them to their new address.
